I would create a new media platform that is designated for college students only. The platform would require a valid student email and identification card to create an account. The platform would be a mixture of Facebook, LinkedIn, and Tinder. It would provide college students to network, hang out, and mingle. The platform would allow students from different colleges/ university to interact with one another and share their ideas on college majors, classes, career goals, and job opportunities. Aside from professional usage, it would also allow the users to upload personal pictures, videos, and messages. Other users may view these content and choose to connect with you. There will also be an option for users to select whether or not other individuals who are seeking a date can find you based on your interests, location, school, major, and other characteristics. This platform would provide college students unlimited access to a network with peers like themselves from other schools. Not only would it be beneficial to their professional life, it would also be useful to their personal and dating life. Since all biography information and picture has to be accurate, verified, and approved, it would be much safer than Facebook or Tinder.

    Hey Curtis- What an amusing idea! That would honestly be really interesting to incorporate all types of platforms into one. It's like a social networking site for professional AND dating services. I think it'd be something fun/funny for people to use!

    Hey!

    So basically like Facebook but the way it was originally intended to be used? :p I think this is pretty close to how Facebook was supposed to stay, until Zuck decided that opening it up and having EVERYONE's personal information (instead of just college students info) was more fun .

Unfortunately, I have not added any new contents to a wiki page yet. However, I have been looking at other students contributions to other wikis and have seen the amazing results to some of those pages. Some of them caught my attention and one on gaming particularly. I intend to focus my topic on new media and video gaming. I will be focusing on how new media and technology have shifted the way we play and watch video games. I will be looking up statistics on revenue and user growth as well as the number of live video game streamers and viewers. I intend to incorporate parts of my term paper into the wiki to talk about gaming blockchain technology and how it has created opportunities to gaming and streaming companies.

Using blogs and other sources of social media can be beneficial to many companies.
